I can truthfully say that beginning my health & wellness coaching with Kris Hooks has been one of the best gifts I have given myself over the last 20 years! In my 70’s, I considered myself relatively healthy. I have since learned that “relatively” is not a good word to use regarding my health. My goals and visions for renewed health have changed, making OPTIMUM HEALTH better word choices.
During my sessions with Kris I learned why I was eating the way I was, how I could change my eating habits to thoroughly enjoy my food in a new way and what the end result would feel like. It feels wonderful! I have lost weight and recognize that change requires my time, attention and commitment. I am enjoying exercising because it makes me feel good. My numbers from blood tests are terrific and my energy level is definitely better. I am now more mindful of how I can live my life to the fullest.
My new mantra is “It’s never too late to be a healthier you!”
I first met Kris while living in Houston. I attended the Methodist Hospital Program. I talked with Kris individually and participated in classes she taught. She shared stories and best practices for keeping healthy and losing weight. My favorite time while attending this program was when meeting with Kris. She always brought a positive attitude and at the end of the day our spirits were lifted. She always made you feel like she was speaking directly to you and sharing her thoughts. She inspired and encouraged me.
